Crafted from the grapes of Northern California for over 75 years, Four Monks had long been the brand of choice among professional and weekend home chefs alike for its superior quality and distinctive flavors. In recent years, however, the brand's visual identity had lost its focus, failing to clearly communicate its California wine positioning. Source/Inc. renovated the brand's package design, mining the symbols and colors of the California Mission style to evoke a sense of place and tradition more appropriate to its heritage. At the same time, designs were updated to reflect its premium position in the category through adjustments in color, composition and information hierarchy. Today, the Four Monks package design is both more strategically focused and more visually engaging, ensuring many more years of success under this storied name.
